Lots of things come to mind after we took part in the last edition of Madrid Fusión on 13th, 14th and 15th January in hall 14 of the IFEMA trade fair venue in Madrid. Work, excitement, quality, effort… Over three very intense days, the Bodegas Arzuaga stand became a must-visit stop for all influencers, sommeliers, specialist journalists, prestigious chefs and other visitors to this event that has undoubtedly become an annual fixture for foodies and wine lovers who are ahead of the trends.
In addition to our participation in Enofusión, which we also told you about in our blog, at our stand on the first floor of hall 14 at IFEMA, we had samples of our wines available to anyone who wanted to try them. However, we didn’t only want people to enjoy our wines by tasting them, so our team of Arzuaga professionals were on hand to reveal all the secrets to discovering the different nuances and sensory notes in each wine both just by looking at it as well as during the smelling phase of the tasting. A full experience that starts when the wine reaches the glass.
Our exceptional Ribera del Duero reds, the Rosae Arzuaga rosé and the famous Pago Florentino were a hit among attendees at Madrid Fusión. And what better way to pair them than with some tapas from Taller Arzuaga? As we already told you on our blog, the head chef at Taller, Jhon Mendoza, and his gastronomic advisor, Víctor Gutiérrez, prepared various tapas on the spot that were the perfect match for our wines: Iberian pork shoulder tartare on a rice cracker; savoury biscuit with pigeon, hazelnut and cacao mousse; sea bass ceviche with tamarillo and purple corn; and purple corn crepe with roast suckling pig.
Although the days at the fair were intense, looking back, we can only feel happy and grateful for the warm reception that Bodegas Arzuaga received again this year at Madrid Fusión. Our stand became a must-visit for the tens of thousands of people who attended this fair and toasted with our wines. It’s always a pleasure to see how you all enjoy our work and, although we already share these moments with you via social media and your visits to our winery in Quintanilla de Onésimo, experiences like Madrid Fusión serve to reaffirm to us the good vibes that appear when you have a glass of Arzuaga in your hand.
