The perfect wines for summer… are waiting for you at Arzuaga!

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

In the summertime, we enjoy the days and nights much more. Those lunches where we get
together with all our friends and those dinners where we watch the night stretch on and raise
a toast around a barbecue or a table outside full of loved ones. And, of course, during those
gatherings in July and August, we want to enjoy some wine that will make the event really
special. That’s why, today on our blog, we’d like to recommend you the freshest Arzuaga wines
to enjoy this summer.
 Pago Mota. We’ll start by telling you about Pago Mota, a white wine that we make
using the Chardonnay grapes that grow in our vineyards in Ciudad Real and that
Ignacio Arzuaga defines as ‘fresh, dynamic and cheerful’. It’s a vibrant wine for
everyday drinking, with a reasonable price. ‘A free-and-easy wine, easier to drink and
fresh’ that Arzuaga defines in three words: ‘versatile, cheerful and fun’.
 Rosae. Rosae is Arzuaga’s rosé wine. This pale pink wine is inspired by recipes from the
Mediterranean basin. It’s modern rosé perfect for enjoying, for example, during those
summer lunches and aperitifs. To make it, we only use Tempranillo grapes that we
harvest from young vines. We pick them early, looking for freshness and less ripeness
so the wine will get the overtones we want. That’s why, when we put the grapes in the
stainless steel tanks, we chill it to around 10°C and we maintain this temperature
during the fermentation. Our aim is to preserve the primary aromas of the grapes as
well as for the liquid to have as little contact as possible with the grape skins to get
that pale colour that characterises this wine.
 Fan D. Oro. Fan D. Oro is a wine that has the stamp of Arzuaga in its name. As maybe
some of you didn’t know, the first part of this wine’s name, ‘Fan’, corresponds to the
initials of ‘Familia Arzuaga Navarro’—the Arzuaga Navarro Family. D. Oro, meanwhile,
comes from its colour, of course, which is reminiscent of this precious metal. This is a
single variety Chardonnay wine based on notes of white flowers, fruit and citrus. Fine
and very elegant, the oak stays in the background, well blended and integrated. It’s the
perfect accompaniment for your rice dishes or barbecued fish!
We hope you enjoy our recommendations this summer!
