The evenings are starting to get cooler, with the wind that tells us autumn is coming. At Bodegas Arzuaga, we’re getting ready for one of the most important times of the year: the harvest. But first, we want to take advantage of this blog to thank you for the great summer we’ve had together with you. This has been an important year for everyone and all of you, everyone who has visited us, have accompanied us over the last few months.
You’ve made our Cinema Saturdays a success once again. In the evening, you’ve enjoyed our barbecues cooked over embers, with roasted potatoes, salads and the usual summertime nibbles. And you’ve sat down to watch classic films, to laugh and cry, all paired with Bodegas Arzuaga wines. We’ve enjoyed these evenings alongside you so much!
We’ve also loved the fact that you’ve come to spend a few days at our hotel, in the heart of Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile, and that you’ve come to our winery to learn more about our wines. We know that you’ve escaped from the hustle and bustle at our hotel and spa. That you’ve relaxed and enjoyed a very special summer. Over these last few months, we’ve accompanied you through our vineyards so that you could get an up-close look at the brilliant green of the vines first, and then the veraison afterwards. Now the vineyard is already ready for the harvest and we’re sure that you’ll also accompany us during this very special time.
And we don’t want to forget all of you who have come this summer to try our gastronomy. Our traditional restaurant has welcomed you every day so you could savour some of the most traditional dishes in Castilian cuisine. Our roast suckling lamb has been one of the stars of this summer, always paired with a bottle of Bodegas Arzuaga wine. And you’ve also enjoyed and had fun with the avant-garde cuisine at our Taller Arzuaga restaurant.
So, we’d just like to thank you and tell you that now autumn is arriving. The summer has been wonderful, but in the coming months, all sights will be set on the harvest. And all of you. Because we’d like you to accompany us during this period as well. In a few weeks, the vines will turn an ochre hue, with shades that blend into the colour of the earth. Thank you and we hope to see you soon!
