September: the month to enjoy the harvest at Bodegas Arzuaga

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

This month is one of the best times of the year at Bodegas Arzuaga. Our vines, ripe and awaiting the harvest, paint the colour of autumn onto the landscape of Ribera del Duero. September is the month of light, photos and peaceful afternoons. At Arzuaga, we know this is the best time to enjoy those last warm days and summer holidays, or to begin your first autumnal experiences.

The River Douro, the vineyards and autumn all come together in September to show off the most radiant and mature side and image of Ribera. One of the activities rated most highly by those who visit us during this time of year is, in fact, strolling through the vineyard when it’s at the peak of its splendour, at the end of the growing cycle that announces the imminent harvest. Walking through a setting such as this one, treading the ground between the vines that give Bodegas Arzuaga wines their character, tasting the grapes and examining the differences between the different varieties… These experiences allow us to see the real miracle of wine. It’s a miracle that starts in the vineyard and continues in the winery, where we benefit from modern installations equipped with the best technology and most modern winemaking techniques. And you’ll be able to see it all for yourself when you come and visit us.

Because although coming to Bodegas Arzuaga is the perfect plan for any time of year, the harvest will add a special touch to your visit. And we’re not the only ones who think so. Did you know that our wine tourism complex was one of the tourist destinations recommended by The New York Times in its 2018 ‘52 places to go’ list?
