Satisfaction from the awards won by Arzuaga

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

The great success of Bodegas Arzuaga is having the trust and affection of all of you. Those of you who uncork one of our wines each day, who come to discover our winery or to try our cuisine in either of our two restaurants. That’s why the awards we win for our work fill us with pride. Because they’re yours too, in a way. And today, we’d like to do a recap of the different awards we’ve won in recent months.

Five Arzuaga wines in Tim Atkin’s top 100

Recently on our blog, we talked about Tim Atkin’s visit to Bodegas Arzuaga, in a post you can read here. As we told you, this British Master of Wine came to our winery as part of a series of events and tastings organised by the Ribera del Duero Supervisory Council. After these tastings, Atkin awarded different scores to the wines he tasted and, based on these, he created a top 100 of the Ribera del Duero wines that scored above 94 points.

The truth is, at Bodegas Arzuaga, we couldn’t be happier with the result of these scores, as five of our wines have been included in Atkin’s Ribera del Duero top 100. While this in itself is already commendable, it becomes even more noteworthy because this has only been achieved by two wineries from our designation of origin in the ranking for 2021.

La Planta named Best Buy 2021 wine

Today we have some great news for you: our La Planta has been named the Best Buy 2021 wine by Piero Bonarelli, Vice President of Business at El Catador. This Dominican company has been active for over 40 years in the importation and distribution market for the world’s biggest wine brands. We’re so proud to be one of them, as well as the fact that someone with as strong links to the wine world as Piero Bonarelli has included us in his selection for 2021.  We were also thrilled to hear the kind words he had for both Bodegas Arzuaga and La Planta in his analysis of the wine.
