This spring… discover La Planta!

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

In spring, the vines, like many other plants, become revitalised. The soils begin to warm up and the sap again returns to flow through every part of the vine. We watch in amazement as the vines bud and flower and we see how the plant comes back to life after its winter rest. And we can’t think of a better analogy to explain the hope we feel with the arrival of the good weather for travelling and discovering new spots. We leave behind the cold of the winter and we start to enjoy those periods of sunshine that invite us to take a stroll and explore new places. So today, we here at Arzuaga would like to suggest that you take advantage of this season to discover our hidden corner that’s going to amaze you most: the La Planta estate.

In this unique natural space, the animals and plants live side by side and will turn your visit into a lasting memory. When we talk about the La Planta estate, located just a few kilometres from Bodegas Arzuaga, we’re referring to 1,500 hectares of space where you’ll find 150 hectares of vineyards, as well as the ancient holm oak and olive trees and a reserve where wild boar, deer and mouflons all live in harmony.

The animals live in semi-freedom on the estate, so when you visit us, you’ll be able to get an up-close look at how they live each day. We love when you share your impressions with us after seeing the mighty antlers of a deer or a herd of wild boar running alongside their piglets!

Moreover, it’s no less impressive and wonderful to sit at the foot of the ancient holm oak tree and be amazed by its branches. There’s so much history that it’s witnessed! In fact, this tree is what gives the La Planta estate its name and it’s already become, in its own right, one of the most popular settings for the photos you share on social media following your wine tourism visits. There’s nothing we could tell you that would able to describe its majesticness – you have to see it and be wowed by it for yourself!

That’s why we invite you to take advantage of the spring season and the arrival of good weather to come to Bodegas Arzuaga and, besides enjoying our wines and a comprehensive, high-quality culinary offering, to discover the La Planta estate. We’re sure that you’ll always treasure the memory of your visit.
