There’s no question that the vintage is a crucial time within the vineyard life cycle. And at Bodegas Arzuaga, we finished the grape harvest this year with a good taste in our mouths. The end of this stage full of expectations and painstaking care is a reason for celebration for us. The extremely high quality of the grapes we harvested at the perfect point of ripeness allows us to predict an excellent 2023 vintage.
The process of making a quality wine starts in the vineyard, where the grape is the star. At Bodegas Arzuaga, we’re proud of the dedication and commitment that we always put into caring for our vineyards. As the time to harvest the bunches gets closer, we keep a close eye on the ripeness of our grapes to pick them when they’re at the optimal point of ripeness, and we carry out every step of the harvest process looking after every detail to ensure that only the highest quality grapes make it into the winery.
That’s because, at Bodegas Arzuaga, quality is one of our key principles. Each bottle that bears our label must be a faithful reflection of our winemaking excellence. From the choice of terroir and vintage to the winemaking and ageing in oak barrels, we put constant emphasis on quality.
That’s why, now that the harvest has finished at Bodegas Arzuaga, we can’t help but feel very excited about the 2023 vintage. The grapes harvested this year were at the perfect point of maturation and showed extremely high quality, enabling us to anticipate a 2023 vintage that follows this path of excellence. The careful winemaking and ageing processes that characterise our winery promise to result in exceptional wines with all the character and elegance that’s expected from Ribera del Duero.
The harvest was again successful this year, and we have very positive expectations for the 2023 vintage. We’re looking forward to the moment when the labels of this vintage will be released on the market and are sure these wines will amaze and captivate you.
However, at Arzuaga we already have our sights set on the 2024 vintage. We’re already taking care of our vineyard and each process with the aim of achieving, in just over a year, a new vintage where quality will be the main feature.
