We recently told you about the Bodegas Arzuaga wines that received over 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, one of the wine world’s most influential wine publications. We also mentioned that our Laderas del Norte appeared in Guía Peñín (91 points) and our Arzuaga Rosae was awarded a gold medal at the Mondial du Rosé. Today, we’d like to talk about James Suckling, another of the wine world’s most prestigious critics.
Three of our wines have scored higher than 90 points on the lists he publishes each year: Gran Arzuaga 2018 (94 points), Arzuaga Crianza 2021 (92 points) and Fan D. Oro (91 points). It’s a confirmation of the quality of these wines that we make with so much care at Bodegas Arzuaga.
As we always do, we’d like to tell you a bit more about James Suckling, a man who has always been associated with the world of wine. He worked at the distinguished publication Wine Spectator, one of the great pioneers in bringing wine to all consumers and professionals. In the 1980s, Suckling decided to visit Europe and, once there, he travelled to some of the most prominent regions at that time to soak up the wine culture. Suckling himself acknowledges that he must have tasted over 200,000 wines since he started – a number that makes it clear his opinions are more than qualified.
So, we can say that our wines are among the best on the world’s most renowned lists, from Wine Enthusiast to James Suckling to Guía Peñín. They all include Bodegas Arzuaga wines that have scored more than 90 points, positioning our wines among the world’s most outstanding.
