Arzuaga virtual tastings, by your side during these new times

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

It’s clear that our society is changing very quickly. For a few months now, we’ve had to evolve and adapt to change changes that, today, seem necessary. So, as part of this new stage, at Bodegas Arzuaga we know that we have to improve our ability to adapt even more to be able to stay by your side, even if it means doing so through a screen, like in the case we’re going to talk to you about today.

As you know, at Arzuaga, we enjoy doing tastings along with you. We love that you can discover the evolution of the winery’s wines through their vintages, such as in the latest historical tasting we hosted at Enofusión, or that you can have a seat in one of the rooms at the Taller gourmet restaurant to learn more with our tasting workshops.

However, due to the situation we’re currently experiencing, we’ve had to forgo these get-togethers, but even so, we can still share our great passion for wine with you. This is why during this period we’ve started doing virtual tastings through video call platforms such as Zoom. During these calls, we get a group of people together who, even if in different countries, are connected with someone from our winemaking team via video call, enabling them to learn more about Arzuaga’s wines live, to ask questions and discover our winery.

One example of this is the virtual tasting organised by Dibeal, our distributed in Ecuador, which was held in early May. For this tasting, Ignacio Arzuaga, managing director of Arzuaga, shared the tasting notes for a selection of our wines with a group of wine lovers who were able to learn about four of our Ribera del Duero red wines during the virtual event.

The wines chosen for this virtual tasting were La Planta 2017, Arzuaga Crianza 2016, Arzuaga Reserva Especial 2014 and Arzuaga Gran Reserva 2011. All the participants already had the wines ready at home, so they only had to listen to Ignacio to follow along with the tasting.

Alternatives such as these virtual tastings are proving to be particularly useful in this new situation we’re living in, so we encourage you to follow us on our social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to find when we’ll be doing new virtual tastings and, if it’s possible and you fancy it, to participate in them. Cheers!
