A Ribera del Duero plan: suckling lamb and Arzuaga red wine

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

September is a month we love. Bodegas Arzuaga is humming with activity, the vineyards start to turn shades of ochre and the wine world is getting ready for another harvest. It’s a magic time we want to share with you. So, today we want to tell you about the best plan for Ribera del Duero so you can enjoy suckling lamb and Arzuaga’s red wine. You already know that at Arzuaga, we’ve always supported local produce and we can’t think of a better way to say goodbye to summer and welcome autumn.

There are few things as traditional in Castile and León as roast suckling lamb. It’s a delicate product that the farmers look after from day one so we can later roast it as has always been done, with care and respect for the product. And from these two elements that are seemingly so simple, comes a dish that you’ll want to savour again and again. The respect that we in Arzuaga’s kitchens have for this product means that we take care of every last detail so that all you have to do is enjoy it.

Then, when it comes to pairing, there’s nothing better than one of our red wines. The Tempranillo variety has always been associated with suckling lamb in this region, and that’s why we offer you a selection of our best wines so that you can choose and rest assured that you’ll always have an experience that’s both complete and unique. Today, for example, we’d like to recommend our Arzuaga Crianza, a wine we make using the Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties that come from the oldest part of our La Planta estate. A perfect option for pairing with our suckling lamb and having a perfect evening at our traditional restaurant.

There’s also the amazing view from Bodegas Arzuaga, in the heart of Ribera del Duero, surrounded by vineyards. We’re sure that your visit will be a memorable one. So, this September, come and visit our traditional restaurant, order our roast suckling lamb and sit down to pair it with a glass of one of our wines. We can’t think of a better plan!

And since we also love it when you discover a bit more about our winery, we invite you to first explore our La Planta estate, home deer and wild boar, and to have fun with one of our tastings. This way, you’ll learn a bit more about everything Arzuaga represents before coming and experiencing our Ribera del Duero plan. Call now to book a date and time; we’ll take care of the rest. We look forward to seeing you!
