At Bodegas Arzuaga, we love autumn for many reasons, one of them being that it’s the time of year when we hold our Harvest Festival. And here on our blog, we’d like to thank you for being there alongside us once again this year. We know – because you tell us – that it’s one of the moments you enjoy most, and many of you come and visit Arzuaga for the first time to experience this very special harvest personally. This year, we’ve celebrated, learned and had a good time more than ever. And it’s all thanks to you.
We started the day going through our vineyards, collecting the last bunches that were still on the vines, while enjoying the first colour change in the vineyard. Little by little, the entire countryside is going to be dyed an ochre colour. During our Harvest Festival, it was all fun activities related to the world of wine. Because it was also a day to learn and for you to find out a bit more about the Bodegas Arzuaga philosophy, our way of doing things and to understand what it means to be in Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile. To do this, we did a guided tour of our winery, so you could feel the beating pulse of the wine, which is now resting, waiting for its transformation to begin.
You stomped on the grapes, you tried our must and sampled our wine alongside our winemaking team. We’re sure it was a wonderful experience for those of you who decided to come and visit us on this special date again this year.
And no festivity would be complete without being accompanied by the best food and drink. We know this well at Bodegas Arzuaga, which is why we featured a menu based on the local products that we enjoy working with so much. So, of course we had to have some suckling lamb kebabs, garnished with salad from our organic kitchen garden. Our kebabs are a delicacy that we roast over vine shoots, with all the flavour of the best suckling lamb in the region. In addition to live music, we were also entertained by our DJ and watched the sun set in the vineyard with those special colours that you only see during the first days of autumn.
We’d like to thank you for all of this. Thank you for being there with us again this year and making our Harvest Festival yet another success. And if you still haven’t been to one yet, don’t worry – we’ll see each other next year! In the meantime, there’s our whole wine tourism offering for you to enjoy. We hope to see you soon!
