Here at Arzuaga, we’re excited to share some good news with you. While we’re proud of the fact that the various wines we make get great scores and win medals in prestigious national and international competitions, today we want to tell you about the great honour our wine tourism offering has received. In the latest edition of the highly regarded Verema Awards, Arzuaga won the Best Wine Tourism award for 2021.

As you know well, wine tourism is a fundamental part of Grupo Arzuaga. We’re passionate about what we do and captivated by the environment we work in, so we love to show it to you and when you come to share it with us. There’s nothing that makes us happier than when you come and discover our vineyards and explore the winery that is the source of our wines. Strolling around the barrel room, learning some interesting facts about our products and then leaning how to taste with us and to differentiate the characteristics of a selection of our paired wines during one of our tasting workshops. If you follow our various social media accounts, you’ve probably already heard that ‘Arzuaga is much more than good wine’. The Verema award is proof of this, as our wine tourism offering includes nature, good food, comfort… and much more!

Our winery is identified by a deer logo, and the name of one of our most popular wines is La Planta. There’s good reason for this, too. Just a few minutes from the Arzuaga winery is the La Planta estate, where wildlife and plant life come together to create an exceptional unspoilt haven where you’ll find, along with the vineyards, a reserve with deer, wild boar and mouflons and the impressive ancient holm oak tree that gives this place its name. It’s really a sight to behold and definitely worth enjoying for yourself.

The wine tourism at Arzuaga is also complemented by high-quality cuisine that can win over any palate. For those who are fans of more traditional cuisine, there’s our traditional restaurant, with a selection of typical dishes from Ribera del Duero that we’re sure you’ll love. But we also have room for avant-garde haute cuisine, and that’s at our Michelin-starred Taller restaurant, which is also firmly committed to local, seasonal produce.

To round things off, there’s our five-star hotel where you can experience the most special luxury and comfort, as well as the chance to enjoy a cutting-edge spa set amidst the vineyards.

We’re so happy to have received another Verema Award this year! We’re ready and waiting for you in Quintanilla de Onésimo so you can see for yourself why Arzuaga is worthy of the honour of Best Wine Tourism Project of the year.
