Ever since the start of this health emergency that’s affecting our country, we here at Grupo Arzuaga have tried to do our bit to help the most vulnerable groups through different actions under the theme ‘You’re not alone’. Today on our blog, we want to talk to you about one of them, which we launched in collaboration with the basketball club San Pablo Burgos, whom Bodegas Arzuaga officially sponsors.
Amaya Arzuaga, the manager of both Hotel & SPA Arzuaga and Taller Arzuaga, designed a charity t-shirt that has been sold on the San Pablo Burgos online shop. The design features the phrase ‘No estáis solos’ – you’re not alone. As we’ve emphasised, at Grupo Arzuaga, we see these words as a call for solidarity and the importance of not forgetting about older people, patients, those affected by the illness and vulnerable groups during this difficult situation.
The charity t-shirts went on sale in different sizes at the price of 6 euros, and all proceeds collected during the period they were on sale online will be used to purchase material for the Hospital Universitario de Burgos (HUBU), immersed in a health crisis due to COVID-19.
The t-shirts weren’t designed by just anyone, though: Amaya Arzuaga is considered one of the greats of Spanish fashion, with recognitions such as the National Fashion Award to her name. Her designs have been featured on catwalks all over the world.
Following the pre-sale, and once the lockdown has ended, the charity t-shirts, a joint effort between Amaya Arzuaga and San Pablo Burgos, can be collected, with your receipt, from the basketball club’s office on the first floor at number 2 Calle Juan Albarellos, or they can be sent to a home address.
As we’ve also done on our social media, with this post we’d like to mention how well this initiative has been received and to thank everyone who’s supported us by buying a t-shirt. Your solidarity has made this project a complete success: thanks to all of you, we’ve raised €12,200!
We’re experiencing a difficult situation, but we have no doubt that we’ll be able to emerge from it by supporting one another and each doing whatever we can to help.
