The vines at Bodegas Arzuaga are more resplendent and luminous than ever this August. The veraison process is starting to be apparent among the leaves, meaning that from this point on, the grapes will no longer be green in colour, which is their colour when the berries are still not ripe and get their hue from the chlorophyll. Over the course of August, they’ll begin to turn a darker shade that’s so typical of the Tempranillo variety. That’s why we invite you to come and visit our vineyards and discover the vines shortly before the start of the harvest and the wine production process in the winery. This will give you a closer look at our wines and, also, enable you to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the landscape.
The La Planta estate is the perfect destination this summer. There, the regional flora and fauna live side by side, as the pines, holm oaks and savin junipers make the ideal home for wild boar and deer. It’s the perfect place for you to have a chance to see for yourself this natural world that the Arzuaga family loves so much. Each of our 1,400 hectares hides secrets that are waiting to be discovered by you throughout the summertime. In the heart of the DO, on Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile, Bodegas Arzuaga is ready and waiting for you to visit and spend a few unforgettable days with us.
Because this time of year is very special for us. The transformation of the vineyard is in full swing, the grapes are ripening, the air is warmer than ever in the evenings, but the nights bring the cold breeze the vines need. On these days, you can get up close and personal with our grapes, feel the earth that gives our wines their personality and delve deeper into the philosophy that guides the path of the entire Arzuaga family.
For years, we’ve been working to be able to offer you Europe’s most comprehensive wine tourism offering. This August, you can relax in our spa, stay at our hotel or have dinner in one of our two restaurants. And above all, you’ll have the chance to escape the daily grind and unwind surrounded by the beauty of the vineyards. Think about sunset in August in Castile and León, with the sky dyed violet, the green vineyards in the background and you, relaxed, with a glass of one of our Arzuaga wines in your hand. You’re just one step away from turning this image into a reality. We hope to see you soon!
