How do we celebrate Midsummer’s Day in Arzuaga?

Magic, purifying fire, tradition and superstitions are some of the features that go hand in hand and cross our mind if we think about the Midsummer’s Night. In Arzuaga this is not enough for us, but for this celebration – which is already a tradition in our gardens – we bring in good food, music and a party with which our attendees had fun and enjoyed an amazing night.

But, how do we celebrate Midsummer’s Day in Arzuaga? For those who did not accompany us, we tell you in this article! We make you green with envy so… don’t miss it next years!

The gardens surrounding our hotel became the perfect place to host our Midsummer’s Night in the Ribera del Duero. An area decorated with lots of love to the detail, with taste and care for this occasion and in which we lit the traditional bonfire. A fire around which the particular spell of that night was pronounced and that caught all the bad memories of those who accompanied us, leading out to new and better times.

Apart from the bonfire, we enjoyed a dinner that and to be honest, it was really tasty. We begin by offering you the possibility to choose yourself the parts of the menu. How? Thanks to our different dishes for all tastes. Smoked, Iberian, cheeses and a complete vegetable dish. Moreover, we enjoy a good weather that we have in our area on summer evenings with, indeed, our traditional barbecue. Skewered suckling lamb, Iberian pork fillet, black pudding and fresh chorizo, grilled beef skirt steak – medium cooked – that delighted all the friends who accompanied us.

But dinner did not end there, after the barbecue it was time for the sweet tooth part of the night with a careful dessert platter that included fruit skewers, mini cakes, petit fours, cupcakes… All paired with Arzuaga red wines, obviously.

After dinner we enjoyed a very fun party. The DJ Curro Puertas, a frequent guest at our events in Arzuaga, was in charge of rhythm up the night with a careful musical selection, perfect for a night as special as Midsummer’s Eve. And from 1:00 a.m. we’ll serve a hot chocolate with churros for all!

Undoubtedly, we spent a special night full of magic that… we are already looking forward to repeat next year!
