What do a wild boar and a wine tasting have in common? Wine tourism in the Ribera del Duero

Perhaps you have attended a wine tasting at some time. You will remember it with a sommelier who explained you the particularities of each one of the tasted samples, perhaps also with a special pairing prepared expressly for those wines. However, I am sure (unless you have already come to Arzuaga) that the image of a wild boar does not come within your wine tourism memory. Nor a deer, nor a mouflon… probably an ancient holm oak neither. That, such combination of nature with and best wines only takes place in Arzuaga.

When you choose to visit the Ribera del Duero and you opt for Arzuaga, many of you – apart from enjoying our wines and learning more about them- are attracted by the fact of knowing the winemaking process at first hand, as well as the vineyards and facilities from our winery.

But Arzuaga is further complemented by much more, turning our wine tourism offer into the most complete one, and not only of the Ribera del Duero, but of Spain. Why? The visit itself to Bodegas Arzuaga and our facilities can be completed with the spectacle of nature that involves knowing our Finca La Planta estate or a Tasting Workshop by the hand of our sommelier Lucio del Campo, honoured with the prestigious Nariz de Oro Award. Besides, in harvesting time we offer you the option of learning very closely this important process in the vineyards.

If you are an animal lover and a nature in general, we undoubtedly recommend you that during your visit go for the option of ‘Live nature’. This includes, in addition to the winery visit and a tasting of three of our wines, a walk through our Finca La Planta estate, where you will find 150 hectares of vineyards and an animal reserve where live wild boars, deer and mouflons.  What’s more, you can fill yourself with positive energy by hugging our millenary holm oak.

Do you prefer an experience that adds wine and gastronomy? Then we recommend you to choose the Arzuaga Tasting Workshop. There you will receive a master class about our wines and you will taste five Arzuaga wines together with our sommelier and Nariz de Oro award-winning, Lucio del Campo. Moreover, to complete this experience, we will pair these wines with some of the gastronomic ‘tapas’ of Taller, the new project of Amaya Arzuaga. All this is carried out in small groups, getting a much more personal experience.

And, what a better way to fully understand our wines than by approaching their production?  As you may already know, harvesting is one of the most important processes in wineries. Therefore, while it is taking place, we give you the chance to immerse yourself in it. How? We will show you the work that is carried out in the selection table of grapes and, in addition, you can step on the harvested grape, and tasting later its must and the wine directly from a barrel. The visit will conclude, of course, tasting three of our wines.

Naturally, if you want to reach out to us and know our winery or the facilities and the vineyards, we will please to receive you. Our professional technical team will show you the inside of our winery in the experience Oenological sensations, apart from our vineyards if you prefer to choose Discovering Arzuaga.

Surely after knowing all our options you fancy to visit us, what are you waiting for? You can obtain information from and make your booking on this link. If you prefer, you can also call us at +34 983 681 146. We are waiting for you!
