Following the winter months, after the cold and even some snow, June has come to Arzuaga. Little by little, the days are growing longer and we’re all in the mood to enjoy traditional Castilian cuisine. And no one else does it like our restaurant. There are many reasons to come and discover us, but our traditional cuisine features among the top on the list. We take care over the produce, the true star of the table, we fuss over the wine and, above all, we make sure that everything is perfect for you.
In the heart of what’s known as Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile, you can find our restaurant, in the municipality of Quintanilla del Onésimo. From its terrace, you can take in one of the most beautiful panoramas of the area, with vineyards that are now dressed in green, and the sweetness of springtime in the air. Coming to discover us is a unique experience.
At the table, our menu in the traditional restaurant goes on a journey through the typical products of our region. It’s a great time to try, for example, our wild boar and foie carpaccio or our venison and foie carpaccio. They’re lighter ways to try game as summer gets under way. It’s also a great time to try our leek pie covered in goose liver and fig and raisin sauce or the toast with smoked sardines over onion confit and Raf tomato. And to pair these starters, we suggest our Arzuaga Rosae, our special rosé wine. It’s a single variety Tempranillo that’s the colour of rose petals.
The main courses will also satisfy your palate. The classic Castilian suckling lamb is king in this region, whether prepared as chops, skewered or roasted whole to order. But you can also opt for our delicious stewed oxtail or veal cheeks in red wine. And if you’re a real carnivore, we recommend the T-bone, rib-eye or sirloin steak. And, to pair with it, our Arzuaga Reserva 2017, the essence of Ribera del Duero.
