A plan for a day at Arzuaga… enjoy a unique wine tourism offering! (I)

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

When we at Arzuaga say we have one of the most comprehensive wine tourism offers in Spain, it’s not just talk. We say it emphatically because it’s the truth! That’s why, today on our blog, we want to suggest a special plan for spending a day at Arzuaga… Are you in?

In the morning, to start your day in the best way, we suggest doing one of the comprehensive wine tours we offer at Bodegas Arzuaga. During the tour, you’ll be able to visit the La Planta estate, just a few minutes from our winery, where you’ll be amazed by everything hiding in this 1,400-hectare treasure of Arzuaga. We’re sure it will go beyond all your expectations. That’s because this visit will give you the chance to walk among deer and see their impressive antlers, in the heart of Ribera del Duero, in the province of Valladolid. You’ll also be able to see that wild boar aren’t as bad as they’re made out to be, as well as observe the mouflons on the reserve. After visiting the wildlife on the La Planta estate, we’re sure that the majesticness of the impressive ancient holm oak tree will leave you speechless. And, of course, you’ll be able to visit the vineyards that Florentino Arzuaga planted back in 1987. After La Planta, you’ll visit our winery, the rooms where the magic happens and we make our famous wines.

To refuel and continue your day, we offer two options. Whichever one you go for, we’re sure that we’ll exceed your expectations. If you prefer to enjoy the most typical cuisine of Ribera del Duero, we recommend booking a table at Arzuaga’s traditional restaurant. Suckling lamb kebabs, roast suckling wild boar, hake, stuffed peppers, cecina de León (cured beef)… and, of course, our roast suckling lamb. We’re master roasters, after all, so we’re experts in getting the suckling lamb just right. With that hint of crispiness on the skin and the smoothness and juiciness so characteristic of suckling lamb meat, it’s truly spectacular! And it’s all made even better accompanied by our Arzuaga red wines. The best cuisine of Ribera del Duero can only be paired with the best wines the DO has to offer.

We’re sure that after getting this little look, you’re already wanting to come and visit us, but there’s still much more! We invite you to keep reading and discover it at this link.
