The TOP Arzuaga Wines that Peñín Guide considers excellent
The prestigious Peñín Guide, the most relevant oenological manual in Spain, has evaluated the wines of the last vintage of Arzuaga in its 2019 edition. Thus, after tasting more than 11,500 wines by its team of professionals, they have rated six of our wines as "Excellent".
The wine in its 2009 vintage which has obtained a higher score is our Arzuaga Gran Reserva, awarded with 93 points by the group of critics. Also, our Amaya Arzuaga 2014, Laderas del Norte 2016 and Arzuaga Reserva 2012 have been rated with 92 points in this latest edition of the Guide, whilst the Arzuaga Reserva Especial has earned 91 points. Finally, within that "Excellent" rating, the Rosae Arzuaga, the only rosé wine at our winery, has been assessed with 90 points.
Acknowledgments such as those granted by Peñín Guide or the two Gold Bacchus awarded in the 2019 edition to our Arzuaga Rosae and Arzuaga Reserva in the latest edition of this prestigious event, are a real pride for the whole Arzuaga team. A boost to our work and effort, fundamental pillars with which we obtain excellence and quality wines.
The Peñín Guide is one of the most important oenological manuals in the world, probably the most important at a national level. Scores are awarded by their tasting team after testing annually more than 11,500 wines. Their pages are taken as a reference in the sector.
For its part, the Bacchus contest is an event that - during four days - brings together a cast of more than one hundred expert tasters, who have tasted more than 1,600 labels in its latest edition. As a difference from the Peñín Guide, it should be noted that Bacchus tastings are blind.
