Skewered suckling lamb and Arzuaga wine at our traditional restaurant

Arzuaga is Spain’s most important wine tourism complex and, unquestionably, the greatest point of reference in the Ribera del Duero region. It not only stands out for the quality of its wines, the size of its vineyards and the natural setting in which it’s found it, its gastronomy also plays a part in making this site such an iconic place. In this vein, at our traditional restaurant we’re committed to showcasing the most typical local cuisine, while also giving it some innovative touches.

Rosae, the rosé wine from Bodegas Arzuaga

If we think about Bodegas Arzuaga wines, and even if we stop to think about Ribera del Duero wines, the first thing that surely comes to mind are deep cherry shades; in other words, colours characteristic of red wines. However, we are lucky that the geographical area we are located allows for innovation, evolution and, ultimately, the ability to produce different wine varieties. Proof of this is our Albillo Arzuaga, a white wine whose first vintage was chosen as the Newcomer Wine by the 2020 Peñín Guide.

Arzuaga wines triumph in the Guía Gourmets

We’re always bowled over to see that opinion leaders, competitions of reference and renowned guides at both national and international level consistently award outstanding scores to our Arzuaga wines. This has been the case recently with the Guía Gourmets, the latest edition of which we want to cover in this post today. One of the most prestigious wine guides in Spain, the 2020 edition will be its 35th. To create it, the guide jury – comprised by 25 industry professionals – did blind tastings of a total of 4,360 Spanish wines, less than half of which scored higher than 80 out of 100 points to earn a place in the guide.

Arzuaga, the first winery in the Ribera del Duero region with a Michelin Star

This recognition not only means Taller has earned its place among the cream of the crop of culinary establishments, but it also makes Bodegas Arzuaga the first winery in the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin to have a Michelin Star within in its wine tourism complex.

San Pablo Burgos basketball club pays tribute to Arzuaga

Achieving a Michelin Star was already a huge source of pride for Taller Arzuaga and, by extension, for everyone who’s part of the Arzuaga wine tourism complex team. This achievement has also, in turn, led to some very special acknowledgements for us. Of these, today we’d like to tell you about the tribute from the San Pablo Burgos basketball club, one of the most emotional moments we’ve experienced since getting our Michelin star; emotion that’s closely related to the ties that have linked us to this club for years.
